After the color of Christmas is stored for another year, my winter home feels like a black and white picture. Soft. Meaningful. And easy on the eyes. I’m letting this image inspire me by using vintage cameras and books as decor in my winter home. Last week, I shared some ideas that found online. Today I’m sharing my own work in progress.
I’m still deciding what to do with my very white and boring front door. I thought I would use a white wreath, but then realized that it would not show up. Ideas? Links? Inspirations? Help!
Week 3 of Winter Home will be next Thursday. I’m thinking either Kitchen Goodness or goodness me I need Organization. Any thoughts?
Note: Still loving my Red Letter Word Art by Dee! And, the inspiration for the jars came from Melisssa @theinspiredroom! Everything else is from my own collection, the thrift store, or the Dollar store!
P.S. No bragging about sunny and 70 degrees….tonight we have a freeze warning! Serves me right!
Linking up with these lovely ladies today for the Winter Challenge!
so pretty!!! and i LOVE the art too! was all set to ask where it was from … and POOF, there’s the link! i’ve made a vow to be careful with our spending this year … but i think a couple of these pieces could only bless us, don’t you think? 😉
Yes, and Dee and her husband are the sweetest people! I met them both at Relevant, and we talked for about 1 hour straight. Great art, and even better people! Let me know what you pick out!
Wow, Stacey, I love it! I just love Red Letter Art creations, she is so talented!
So, the white stuff in your candle jar…what is it? It looks fantastic!
Have you thought about a simple greenery wreath for your door?
It all looks wonderful, thank you for sharing!!

Erin – I used simple and cheap rock salt. I think Melissa @theinspiredroom used epson. Which I wish I had for a science experiment I need to do!
And I am thinking a green wreath! But today, I saw one with felt that I would love to try if I was more crafty!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks Stacey, I’ll be getting some of that.
Felt wreath sounds great, but I’m sure whatever you choose will look great!
Joanns has some leftover Christmas wreaths that are beautiful silver pinecones with icy pine stems and clear jewels. I picked one up for 75% off. It would be PERFECT for your door! I bought all the supplies for the filter wreath–still need to find a time to make it!
I love that you come to my house and comment on my blog all in the same day! It makes me feel so loved!
I hope I can get to JoAnn’s tomorrow! That sounds perfect. Thanks for telling me!
Laughing at myself today, because I did not post any pictures of the vintage cameras and books that I have and I’m using! Oh, my I need more caffeine!
Pictures added! Still laughing!
Thanks for the mention 🙂 Everything looks awesome!!!
Thanks Melissa! So appreciate you stopping by!
