I’ve been challenged by Oswald Chambers recently to be broken bread and poured out wine. Ann spoke similarly of this in One Thousand Gifts – receiving thanks, giving thanks, and becoming the thanks offering. Mostly, I get to the broken part and find myself worn out and cranky. It seems the more I press on, the more I have to learn. He is ever so patient with me. And so, I give thanks, because I am still learning…

Thanks friend! God is good!
Loved reading this!
Thanks for stopping by Heather! I hope you have a great week!
“The high calling of prayer for each other.”
I LOVE the picture of that.
Both for the one being prayed for, and the one praying – it is a blessing!
“The more I press on the more I have to learn”. Oh isn’t that the truth!! Wow. To be broken & poured out isn’t an event – but a lifestyle is my lesson. Good stuff. Love Oswald, too. Blessings ~
I FORGOT! #698 Field trip together. All of us. We all went to the Science Museum this weekend – thanks for the reminder!!
I really need to go there, too!
Love that challenge by Chambers (and by Ann)! What a great list of blessings!
I love when God speaks to me through different people the same way, don’t you?
Loved your list of blessings, especially the different aspects of Gratitude. It’s not just an act of voicing “thanks.”
Inviting you to drop by my place as I’m celebrating ONE YEAR of Blogging. A major milestone. And in honor of that, I am giving away Ann’s book, “One Thousand Gifts.”
Hope to see you there.
Janis
Loved your list today. God is really stretching me through my own list toward 1,000. I am only on #25.
And so it’s Wednesday and now there are all the Walk with him Wednesday posts to read – but I’m not done with Multitude Monday quiet yet 🙂 And I both heart this – and totally get it “the more I have to learn. He is ever so patient with me.”
My favorite “thank you” from yours list today was: – #699 His invitation to come boldly to the throne, where His mercy hovers near. (because it is way poetic And so so true – access to the throne – and his lap) {smile}
This was kind of a joy to read today. Thank you. (◠‿◠)
God Bless and keep you and all of yours.
The quote on the throne of God was in a song we sang Sunday at church, and it really spoke to me!
Have a great week!
i love #700, “the high calling of praying for each other.” today my 4-year old nephew went through a slew of tests, to find out if the cancer we found out about in december has changed, if the chemo is working, or if God has simply, graciously chosen to heal him miraculously. throughout the day, i received emails from friends who were praying for our family, and seeing #700 has once again humbled me, and shown me how very blessed i am.
thank you…
Joining you in praying for your sweet nephew, asking Jehovah Rapha to heal him now and give great comfort to your family.
