She plays grace…
Long fingers, like her daddy, placed on white and black keys. She’s pausing and thinking how it goes. It is unnatural for her to find the notes. But then in the midst of the learning, the tune emerges. Soon, it will flow from heart to hand and she won’t have to over think it. I’ll be in the kitchen doing dishes and grace amazing will search me out and find me.
I, too, am learning the notes of grace. I’m pausing and over thinking how it goes. But as I’m searching for the notes, grace is singing in my heart and searching me out. Maybe, some day soon, my head will let my heart lead the way.
Amen! I am still learning as well, hoping grace will find it’s way in as well!
Joining you again today!
Thanks friend! Loved your post today, I so value your companionship on this journey!
Wow! You have brought back so many memories from my childhood. Waking before anyone else in the house was stirring so I could practice the notes on the keys. What a lovely imagine of a house filled with grace notes. Beautiful. With Joy, Carey
Thank you Carey! I have her amazing piano teacher to thank for giving us such a gift of music. The timing of this song has been perfect for me!
This reminds me of my piano playing days….feels like so long ago, but really, it was only 3 years ago. Then life got busy, and I never had time to start playing again. Maybe it’s time to sit down and start touching the keys again.
