Hey there! So this is where I’ve been, and the view is amazing! I have had chance to stand on this mountain many times before and it never gets old. As I find my way back to sea level this week, I don’t want to forget this time with my family and the view from the top of the mountain. It always makes me feel small – and yet taken care of at the same time.
Next week, I’ll have 10 suitcases to unpack, groceries to buy, a school year to plan, and more laundry to do than I can humanly tackle on my own. Time away for a mom is never really a vacation. (do you know what I mean?) But, there are memories to make, views to cherish, and family traditions to build upon. And truthfully, it is all worth it.
Question:: What did you do this summer that was worth it?
This summer I visited one of the few “big cities” that I have ever been to. My legs are still sore and I had to throw away a pair of shoes because they were so worn from the walking, but oh yes it was worth it!
Sounds awesome Tay!!!
love this photo stacey!! everyone’s getting so big! everyone looks so happy!
it is all worth it, isn’t it? so happy to hear you’re having a blessed time together …
Thanks!!! Mike has amazing photos….hoping he shares!!
That view is fabulous! We didn’t take a summer vacation, unfortunately, but we’re considering a field trip up the east coast. I think the best thing I did for myself this summer is to commit to reading the Bible cover to cover. That said, I’d love to be lying on a beach reading it 🙂
A summer in the Word is worth it!!! Well done Carrie!
Great photograph. Looks like a great time. My family is moving from Pennsylvania to Missouri, so we decided to make a “real” trip of it and visit family and just enjoy each other for the summer before we settle into our new lives.
I’ll be driving through MO tomorrow! I will pray for you that God prepares a place and your heart for such a big move!!
Oh I wanted to go to She Speaks!! Did you love it???
Vacations r awesome eventhough we moms always get stuck with cleaning up and getting everything back on track afterwards…. Great memorable photo. Wish I had time to go to the mountains too!
Yea for family time! I went to London for the first time with the hubby sans the kids. London was fabulous!!!! Led evening services for a Kids Camp in Prescott, AZ which is always incredible and we are headed to see family in San Diego area in two weeks. Woo hoo for getting out of the 120 degree heat! With Joy, Carey
Lovely photo! Girl, my summer has been busy hopping between my two elderly parents. Dad at his home and my Mom in rehab. I wish I could say it has been fun. Sigh … but I have plenty of summers ahead of me to enjoy.
Have a blessed day!
