This past week I dressed 3 ballerinas for 5 performances of the Nutcracker.
That is 8 buns.
8 full stage make-ups.
Here is what this very tired and but very proud ballet mom
wore recently:
Left: White cardigan {Old Navy}, Striped tank {BJ’s}, Grey Tank {Ann Taylor Loft}, Skinny Jeans {American Eagle}
Center: White t-shirt {Target}, Grey ruffle tank {ATL}, Jeans {Gap}.
Right: Grey sweater {Target}, Jeans {Cabi Contemporary}.
See how I’m loving grey and white and really big earrings?
{It is this time of year that I miss my Southern Indiana home most. So I had to pull out my vintage Indiana t-shirt just for the memories. It always makes me feel better! Is there such a thing as comfort clothes?}

I am playing trombone in the orchestra for the Maine State Ballet this weekend and next! It is my favorite time of year— and it is so special because my sixth grade cousin is in the performances!! She is a Christmas Angel this year!
And you look adorable!
The music is amazing! I hope you are having fun! My girls were a shepherdess, a snow angel, flower, baker, paige, maid and Spanish dancer! Whew!
Wow, mama! That is a LOT of bun-fixing and make-up-applying. I bet you were all worn out! Your pictures don’t betray you at all – you look so perky! Cute outfits, and definitely YES on comfort clothes!
My littlest girl is a mouse this year! I’m quite excited because–believe it or not–I have never seen the Nutcracker. How fun to see it for the first time with my daughter dancing!
And yes, there is such a thing as comfort clothes. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m preparing you now, you will cry mama! It is so sweet to watch them dance!
Grey looks GREAT on you! After the past two years trying to delve into color and prints, I am back to my white and black tshirt + cardigan roots…but now I do accessories, the skinny belt(HARD at first b/c I am ‘ample’ and felt it should be a wide belt & that looked bad.) HEY what camera is that? It looks like mine but I have so many troubles with it…wondering…..
Love the idea of changing up the classic look with accessories! And the camera is a Nikon and it works fine most of the time for this sort of thing!
Thanks for stopping by Heather!
I love the grey sweater!
I got it on sale at Target for $13!! It is the Converse brand and I love it, too!
My favorite is the gray sweater on the right. Looking cute!
