90 days.

1 Amazing Summer.

I am super excited about diving into God’s Word.  I know He has invited me.  I know He has challenged me to ask others to do the same.  I am overwhelmed that over 300 have said yes.  But I have to be honest:

There might be giants in the land. They may try to distract us (because I know you are joining me).  They may find really good reasons for me to do other things.  They may be big. They may be hairy.  They may be super persuasive with their, “Oh you can catch up tomorrow reasoning” or their, “Wow, look how great you are doing, pat yourself on the back” prideful dance.  And yet…

“The land we walked through and scouted out is a very good land—very good indeed. If God is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land that flows, as they say, with milk and honey. And he’ll give it to us. Just don’t rebel against God! And don’t be afraid of those people. Why, we’ll have them for lunch! They have no protection and God is on our side. Don’t be afraid of them!” from Numbers 14:7-9 (The Message)

The land is very good.

God will be pleased with us and lead us into that land that flows with milk and honey.

And He will give it to us.

So will there be giants? I’m sure there will be.  But God will meet us there.  He is bigger.  He is the almighty.  And He will fight for us.
