“There is no one like you, Lord, and there is no God but you….and who is like your people Israel – the one nation on earth whose God went out to redeem a people for himself, and to make a name for yourself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt? You made your people Israel your very own forever, and you Lord, have become their God.”
1 Chron 17:20-22
After more than 30 days straight of reading the Bible I have landed here: my heart is mesmerized by my loving Father. His heart. His actions. His plan…
- He is God who went out to redeem a people.
- No other God went out – toward.
- Every other god was about man pursuing it.
- The God of Israel – went out to redeem
- He searches every heart and every desire and every thought. (1 Chronicles 28:9-10).
- The highest heaven cannot contain him (2 Chronicles 2:5-6)
- He scans the whole earth to look for hearts who belong to strengthen them (2 Chronicles 16:9a).
- The God of David, Solomon, Asa, Hezekiah, Josiah, Ezra, Nehemiah…
He loves me too.
Stacey, you are so good at what you do. This blesses me and I’ve loved snippets of your OT reading given through the eyes of Jesus and grace – thank you. X
Love what you’re learning! It has been my experience, too!
Loved adding Ezra and Nehemiah to my list of favorite guys from the bible. Praying for my sons to have hearts and OBEDIENCE like these men.
Oh, I love that Krystal!
