Some days you feel it.
Some days you don’t.
And on the days you would rather not, you need to remember two things:
- Why you started in the first place.
- Jesus is for you and He is praying for you.
Okay, so technically that is 3 things. But I’m guessing if you take a second or two to remember your “why” and to remind yourself that you are not alone, you will find the strength to take the next step. And pretty soon, you’ll be standing at the finish line.
Happy dance.
Hands raised to the heavens.
Heart filled with gratitude.
And it will all be worth it.

I’m adding my prayers to His today for you.

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Thanks, Stacey! Good post with a always necessary reminder!
My heart needed this today. Feeling a bit tired, needing refreshment.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this, because really truly I would rather not do anything I need to do today. I’d rather not clean up last night’s baking with kids experiment. I’d rather not parent the kids for that matter, I’d rather not be awake and I’d rather not be nice to anyone.
My Whys: I write to allow God to redeem my story, I parent because they’re not my children and I want him to love and guide them through me and we baked cookies because, well it seemed like a good idea last night.
