Are you new around here? It is quite possible that you drop in on Wednesday and see this writer girl posting pictures of herself in front of the mirror and you are thinking, “What in the world?” Well, I should probably take this chance to tell you that “What I Wore” is a semi-regular series on 29 lincoln avenue. I started doing this crazy link up with Lindsey over at the Pleated Poppy Blog about 2 years ago. I was trying to lose the baby weight after my fourth girl was born and I wanted to accept the challenge to get up, get dressed, and put a little more thought into what I was wearing at the time. Let’s face it. I’m a mom. I homeschool. I have 4 busy girls. I could live in sweats if I really wanted to and get by with it legitimately. I don’t think anyone would really care, except maybe my husband and my budding fashionistas.
Long back story short, I started posting those photos here on Wednesdays for accountability. A funny, thing happened when I did: I found a group of women who loved the light-hearted conversation as well. Some of them started linking up with Lindsey, too. A few of them are now contributors over at Together in 10 (including Linsdsey). We like to give each other fashion girl wanna be high fives all the time. Not really. I just made that up.
So now you know. I’m going to keep up What I Wore in 2013. I hope you will keep stopping by. It would be really weird if I was here all by myself. Plus, I like you.
So this is what I wore this week:
While I took my daughter to the doctor:
Navy Cardigan: (Walmart) sidenote: I keep putting this in the thrift store pile and rescuing it.
White T-shirt: (loft)
Tank: (H&M)
Scarf: (American Eagle)
Cute Garland: made by my crafty girl
I Ran more errands & dressed for family photos that we ended up not taking due to sickness.
Red button down: (Eddie Bauer)
Same white t-shirt and tank as above
Black skinny jeans: (Loft)
**
Black Cardigan: (Target)
White Blouse: (Loft)
Jeans: (CAbi)
Purple Skinny Belt: (Kohls)

Next week I thought I’d do a best of What I Wore from 2012. What do you think?
xoxo,
Stacey
P.S. Go check out Lindsey. She is super cute.
I love these posts and you’re adorable!
I’ve been starting to chime in with #dressfortheday as in dress for the day you want ala Dearabbyleigh and it really has made a difference in the way I feel throughout my day.
Yesterday I stayed in real, non elastic clothes until after dinner, it was a big step for me 😉
Love sweet Abby! I forgot she was doing that post weekly! I may have to link up there too!
Thanks Leanne for the encouragement!
I think the “best of 2012” would be a fantastic idea!!
I often rescue things from my thrift store pile as well. Glad you saved this cardi!
The black cardigan looks great on you dear!

I love your scarf. So pretty!
I’m also kind of interested in those newspaper houses you have hanging in the background. Looks super-cute.

My crafty 9 year old did that last year during December and we turned them into garland. We used book pages and she made Origami houses (even cut doors open). We had the idea to use the cute wired pom-pom garland as a base.
They look cute on the tree too!
P.S. You JUST made her day!
I’d love to see a “best of” post!! I love Wednesdays ’cause I get to see all your cute outfits. Been wondering if I should hop on the What I Wore train next year!!
Do it!!!!!!
Consider yourself high-fived!
As a newbie around here, I’d love to see a “best of” post! Cute scarf in the first pic! 🙂
I’ve been planning a WIWW best of 2012 post too, I’d love to see yours! Way to save the navy cardy, such a handy color to have around! And cute banner!!
