Happy Wednesday. People are always asking about What I Wore, so I thought I’d make an image that sums it up. What do you think? I so can’t take any credit for it. Lindsey started it. You need to jump over to her place today and stop by her shop while you are there. So cute. Lindsey and the shop.
This week I promised to tell you about my boot saga. Here it is:
My sweet husband bought me great boots for Christmas. I have had my eyes on them for a while. I was so excited I put them on with my pj’s. Or rather I tried to. They would NOT go over my calf. Turns out this 5’4″ girl has a large calf. Or as my friend Angie informed me “wide shaft.” Sadness ensued and the boots went back. Sigh…
Here is what I wore this week:
I was true to my school: T-shirt (IU campus bookstore, Jeans Gap. (although it looks backwards)
I belted my jacket: (Jacket and pants are from ATL, belt is Kohls)
I taught school: (Striped top is ATL, Jeans CAbi)
What can I say? It is a bootless glamorous life..
xo,
Stacey
I love the striped shirt! Super cute and flattering.
I do love a good striped shirt!
Thanks Karin!
You look so cute and skinny in that IU tshirt. My brother has his masters from IU. lol
No way! That is super fun! Go IU!!!
I’m still in mourning over my boots. My hubby got them for me 8 years ago…he picked them out and everything. Total surprise. They looked like new even after 7 years. Then they started feeling tight…and that’s when I discovered that my foot grew. I held on to them for another year even though I couldn’t wear them. Just because I loved them so much. I finally passed them on this year to someone who could use them. I’ve been on the search for new ones but haven’t found anything as good as the old ones.
It’s a bootless, glamorous life, indeed.
I think this is true for me too! I have found after each baby, it happens! So I understand friend…
Don’t worry about the boots. I also have wide calves, and like widewidths.com for tall boots. Best of luck!
LOVE your outfits! LOVE your half-back hair. Although I did not receive cute boots for Christmas, I, too, fit in the wide shaft category. I look every year for the perfect pair and always come up with nothing. I’ve resolved to be ok with my sparkle flats instead.
Sparkle flats are way more wearable here, I know. But, I am determined to find some great riding boots that fit!! I’ll give Dave the info so he can order them for you!
