Have you ever had a front row seat at a concert or sporting event? These are the very best seats in the house where you can almost reach out and touch the artist and you find yourself swept up in the action. Your experience is so amazing you can’t find words to describe it except–awesome.
For the past few months I have had a front row seat of sorts watching about 100 women lead and love on women in online communities over at (in)courage all in the name of Jesus. They have given up of their time, invited, and encouraged women beyond the blog post. They have been adventurous and genuinely cared for others. They have been all heart. They are called (in)couragers for a reason.
This quote by Beth Moore recently made me think of them:
“We can love each other better. Let’s do. People have enough hurt. Let’s be careful with one another.”
They exemplify this challenge by Mrs. Moore because they love well. They inspire me every day in my real world life as well as my online presence to do the same. It has been an awesome thing to watch them do their thing.
Next week, (in)courage is hosting an online and in real life conference called (in)RL and the sweet women called (in)couragers will be a featured story. Here is a short clip of this feature: {They even let me be in it, too!}
(in)RL starts Friday April 26 with an online keynote presentation. The theme this year is centered around “Staying in Community When it is Hard”. Then on Saturday April 27, we will meet up locally all over the world with women in our own communities. I’m going to be at this one, if you are a local, come out and hang with us. If you live somewhere else —just about anywhere else—you can find a meet up near you right here. Why don’t you register and join us? The sweetest part is it is FREE and you might just meet a new friend. I know you will be encouraged.
Will you be there? I can’t wait to hear about it! I’ll be helping out a little behind the scenes, so be sure to follow me on Twitter at stacey29lincoln and incourage while #hashtagging your tweets and images on instagram #inrl.
Let’s all have a front row seat and go beyond the blog post in real life!
I’m signed up for a meet up! So excited!
Awesome Barbie! It is going to be great!
Would love nothing more than to be in the same room with you #inRL next week! You teach me about community, every day. Can’t wait to be behind the scenes with you 😀
It will be almost as good as being live and in person! Can’t wait!
This is something even an extreme introvert (*raising hand*) can look forward to! Because the meet ups are small yet the hearts there are huge….can’t wait! 😉
Nikki just like Lisa-Jo says “Small is the new big!” Small is perfect!
Last year, I only watched the beautiful videos. . . I am excited to be gathering with real-life women this time! What a beautiful endeavor. Thank you so much for all that you do to make this happen, Stacey–and especially, for how you encourage community.
I can’t wait to hear about your meet up Jennifer! It is going to bless so many!
Can it be, that the first inRL was only a year ago? I went to that event praying only to meet one person I could talk to. And I ended up reconnecting with Anna, who has become a dear friend and co-(in)courager. What a gift! And to see all that God has done with us since then… so awesome. I’m excited to see what God will do at this year’s event! Thanks so much for all of your behind-the-scenes work, Stacey — God is working with you to create so much beauty and life!
Amanda – you are a gift! Love your heart and that God has used (in)RL and (in)couragers in your life! We adore you!
I don’t even know where to begin with you. You bless my heart in so many ways about 7 days a week. You are an example, but one that is honest, and imperfect, and funny, and all the other ands that reach us all. Thank you for every prayer, for every verse, for every encouraging word. I feel like I’m missing half of what you have done and meant to me. Saving you an extra big hug for when i see you in October!! Glad I’ll be seeing you online and in videos many times before then.
Thanks, Amy. You have been so encouraging to me — always encouraging and I so appreciate that!
We think you’re pretty darn great. 🙂 SO excited! 7 more days!
