Recently I had the nice folks at Red Envelope ask me about my style and if I would include a post for What I Wore on the subject. Because I like to pretend I’m a fashion blogger I took on the challenge. But then I had to answer this question?
What is my personal style?
Is mommy style a category?
Or maybe it is Loft-Target-Chic an option?
I decided I would put together a hands down fashion survival kit montage from my What I Wore posts and go from there.
1. T’s, and Tanks
There will always be a white t-shirt in my wardrobe or 7 of them. This v-neck is for sure part of my survival kit. It is from Loft.
I also love a good tank top—especially a good long and lean ribbed type that makes this short girl look a little longer and leaner. Target has them.
2. Love for a Tunic
Back in college it was super trendy for girls to buy men’s polos and wear them untucked. I loved that look. (hello 1990’s). Today I love a good tunic or supposed to be dress but it is too short and I add jeans type of thing. Either way, I love it. The one in the middle is from Stitch Fix. (referral link)
3. C is for Cardigan
Come on you knew it was coming. I love them all. I love them in summer, winter, fall, and spring. I may have an addiction.
4. Jeans anyone?
I pretty much wear them every single day. Sometimes I have to grab shorts because it gets 90 degrees here from May to September. But even then, I wear jeans and just add sandals and deal with it. My faves pictured here are boot cut and yes skinny from loft and lucky brand . FYI: I am short so I must have petite or short length. Just so you know.
5. Shoes.
I am loving my new boots. But, mostly you will find me in ballet flats and when I’m really adventurous a pair of Toms Wedges. Oh, and flip flops but that is not really all that exciting.
***
I suppose I should probably include accessories but as you can see above I don’t wear a ton. I like sliver, a few long necklaces, and a scarf now and then. This is my style for the most part. I think it is mommy casual with a classic edged. Can classic have an edge? Probably not.
So what is your style? Isn’t it fun to think about it?
xo,
Stacey
