Can you even stand the excitement? Sunday was a glorious day for 2 reasons. First, I got to go to church with my girls and I was able to wear my boots! Y’all the temperature dipped big time here in Florida and I pulled out my riding boots. Yes, I did. It was also the day my husband came home from being in Greece for 2 weeks for work. So make that 3 reasons it was wonderful!
I did have a moment of despair when I was zipping them up. They were almost too tight. As you may remember I have large calves and these boots are made for large calves. It should be noted that I have been working out for 12 weeks straight doing high intensity interval death training and apparently larger “large” calves are a byproduct of that craziness. I’m trying to decide if working out is worth it.
So, here are a couple of things I wore. Cardigan heavy and of course the boots.
Left: Green cardigan (Banana Rep Outlet), Tank (Loft), Jeans (Lucky), Shoes (my friend Crystal), Necklace (shop foreverly)
This was for a much needed Girls Night Out Saturday night. I went to Chuys – a Tex Mex place with my friend Angie. It was so good and we talked for 3 hours straight.
Middle: Sweater (Loft), Shirt(Loft), Jeans (Lucky), Boots: (my friend Angie), Necklace (Dayspring), Cuff (Farmgirl Paints)
The same Tex-Mex Angie gave me the boots. Isn’t she great? And she is from Texas which further adds to the reasons I love Texas. I wore this to church and by the time it was over it was too hot for the boots. But that is OK, because I was proudly wearing them.
Right: Sweater (Target), Tank (Loft), Shorts (Loft), Shoes (Target)
I wore this on Monday when it warmed up and I could not enjoy the skinny jeans and the boots any longer. But, I did like the new cardigan. I’ve been looking for a red one and love that is boyfriend style.
OK, your turn! How was your week? Did you wear boots?
Hope you have a great Wednesday!
xo,
Stacey
We are living in Florida right now, a short 7 month stint while my husband is in training for the Navy, and I have seriously missed fall weather. We also had a nice cool day on Sunday, and it was wonderful! I haven’t pulled out my boots yet, but it gave me a glimmer of hope that I probably will wear them here 🙂
Yes you an wear your boots in Florida. We all do. But, usually like in the evening or for church. Not all day, for heavens sake your feet will die. January is entirely different — and you will find a few cold days here and there. Take hope- boot weather will come, but it will be like one week not 6 months! The best part of Florida is the sun. Girl – every day! And you must be near the water so the ocean is glorious!
Yes!!! I’m famous!!!! Love this!
