Praying for Teen Girls – Coming 4/22/25
I hear a lot of people say prayer is a last resort. And maybe it is at times. I think our stubbornness has a lot to do with how quickly we are willing to go to our knees. But prayer really is a relationship with the One who not only made my girls and loves them more than I do, he also knows and loves me too. And having that kind of everyday access is a gift I can’t really ever grow out of. I need him more today with my 25, 22, 18, and 15-year-old girls than I did ten years ago. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Are you tired? Are you finding it hard to have conversations with your teen girl? Has she become a lot like you or a total stranger? Is she facing a bully at school? Has her friend group dropped her without so much as a wave goodbye? Do you want her to be strong but retain the softness you know is in there somewhere, even if she only lets you see it when she wants you to buy her Starbucks on the way to school? Does she doubt her worth? Is she standing on the edge of a beautiful future and just about ready to fly? Is she ready? Are you?
So, here is what I’m suggesting: Let’s gather our courage as moms and grab onto the hem of the Lord’s garment with all we have and pray. Let’s stop trying to figure it all out and, instead, let it all out at the feet of the One who has the power to not only change our girls, but our hearts as well.
Let’s pray for our teen girls.
I think God wants us to.

Do you feel like you need to be amazing but you are fresh out? Are you overwhelmed, exhausted, feeling the expectations of everyone around you? Do you feel responsible for everything? In this book Stacey will show you that being fresh out of amazing isn’t a problem to be solved or a time to quit. It is actually an unexpected invitation to see God big in our lives. As it turns out, God doesn’t need us to be amazing. He already has that covered.

Dreams that slip away hurt like crazy. In her first book, Stacey talks about the real pain of walking through life that doesn’t always go the way we plan.
