What if we did make a difference? What if we started right where we are? What if we made a commitment to our God first, and then to our families to leave a lasting legacy of faith and hope.  What would THAT life look like?

Over the past few weeks as I have been reading this book God has impressed these things upon my heart:

1.  Show up. You only get one chance to live your life.  Let God use you where you are.

2.  Practice seeing the need and giving to meet it.

3.  If you are going to Outlive Your Life, you have to spend time with Jesus and  pray.

Here is what Max says about prayer:

Let’s pray, first…let’s pray most…No other spiritual activity is guaranteed such results.  “When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action” (Matthew 18:19 MSG). He is moved by the humble, prayerful heart. P. 161-162.

As we prayer, not only is God moved, but our hearts are changed to be more like His.  Something else happens too:  it sends the enemy running in the opposite direction (James 4:7-8).  So you could call it a Win -Win -Win situation.

The truth is, You Were Made to Make a Difference.  There is no one quite like you. When you place yourself in the hands of God and touch the world with compassion, you will Outlive Your Life.

I love this message.  I love that Max has made it accessible to adults, children and teens.  We can all make a difference. We can start today.

Tommy Nelson has offered to do one more giveaway to close out this series.  Do you know a pre-teen or teen who might like to read this book? It is by Max and his daughter Jenna.

Leave a comment to be entered in this giveaway.  Only people who live in the Continental USA are eligible. I would also like to know what you thought about this series.  Did you enjoy it?  Oh, and be sure let Tommy Nelson know how grateful you are for their partnership.  Not only did they provide books for the 3 giveaways, but they sent me a copy of each one to read and review as well.  They pretty much rock!  You can follow them on twitter @tommynelson or find them here.
