This past week, I had two chances, outside the ordinary jeans and t-shirts to get dressed up. I attended our church’s Easter Drama with my oldest daughter on Friday and celebrated 17 years of marriage with my husband on Saturday. Both outfits feature my love for all things CAbi.
Ok, so both times I wore jeans, but I did dress them up a bit!
Left: (Daughter Date) Gingham check jacket {CAbi}, White ribbed t-shirt {H&M}, CAbi Contemporary Jeans
Right: (Anniversary Date) Crocheted draped sweater {CAbi}, Black tube top {CAbi} and the jeans, again.
FYI:
The tube top is awesome – I love how it goes straight across and it is a great layering piece!
I love the detail on the jacket – great buttons and a sweet coordinating fabric on the cuffs when you roll up the sleeves.
For our anniversary date we ate at our favorite BBQ place {my idea. you would die if you ate there.} and we went to see Jane Eyre {also my idea. it was awesome.}
Question:
Do you plan out your outfits for special nights out? Or do you need inspiration in the moment?

P.S. Thank you for your sweet comments on these posts! Every week, I think, “Should I do another WIWW post?” And every week, you shout back “Yes!” I’m having fun, and I hope you are, too!
I usually plan ahead when I know a big event is coming up like a wedding or a nice dinner out! For example, when a good friend of mine got engaged last fall, I already started thinking about what dress and what shoes I was going to wear…and her wedding isn’t until July! 🙂
That’s one of the fun parts of being a girl!!!
So true Tay! So true!!!
Stacey,
You look absolutely gorgeous in both outfits! Congratulations on your 17 years of marriage….although you don’t look like you could be even close to being married that long. I love it that you take your girls out on mother-daughter dates!! I do too and my girls treasure the time we get to spend together! 🙂
Thanks again for participating in the Mercy House Challenge and being so sweet and generous!!! You and your group truly touched my heart! 🙂
Love God Greatly! (you do it so well)

Thanks for inspiring us Angela! What a great journey!
And – yes, I was like 12 when we married…:) or was it 23? Both sound young to me at this point!
Happy Anniversary!! You look GREAT in both pics, but I LOVE that second outfit!! 🙂 (Btw, you inspired me today… I jumped on the WIWW bandwagon for the day.) 🙂
I took a quick peek in my email at your post, but I’m going to jump over there now so I can cheer you on! Looks great!!!
you’ve inspired me to take kevin to see jane eyre! we have a date nite this week, so maybe i can talk him into a chick flick since mike saw one with you!
You know, it is really a great story – and sort of darker than most of those type of “Jane Austen” movies. I think he will like it.
Miss you! Let’s find a way to connect soon!
Looking’ good girl! And congrats on 17 years!!!
I am an outfit planner for big events, but something always comes up at the last minute and I end up trying on a million other things! Ha!
We are such girls!! Thanks for stopping by Erin!
Great jacket! It looks great on you too!
Thanks Nicole! I wasn’t sure, because it is a print – but I like it after all. Plus, it is lightweight and can be worn all year long!
Just got a Cabi catalog not too long ago and thought their stuff looked so cute! How funny!
I would say you are looking quite cute!!! 🙂
Love your heart, girl. I’m sorry I haven’t joined in much with the Grace Based Parenting series because I really wanted to do so. I have been wanting to read it for a while and you are motivating me to get going!
Hi Natalie! That is the beauty of blogging! You can read GBP, and come back and read the posts and comments as you go! I think you will love it! Let me now what you think!
{thanks for your sweet words of encouragement!}
I love the jacket! Cabi is so popular at my church that two moms showed up in the same outfit from Cabi for a meeting.
This is so funny! I try to buy pieces and then combine them with other things! 🙂
Lookin good! I really like the crochet sweater, super chic. I saw some tempting tanks the other day and thought about trying to layer with them. You’ve built my confidence…I might have to go back.
You are so fun, just love stopping by! Blessings..
