Tozer says grace and mercy are the same thing in heaven, but when they get to us, they are different. Either way, I think these pictures could be about grace as well. So, I’m adding these to Chatting At The Sky, Pictures of Grace Link up.
Counting 1,000 Gifts…
#483 divine pity and compassion
This moment, was captured through the lens of my husbands camera on my daughter’s 11th birthday last week. It in itself is a gift, the moment, the girls, the joy, and the flood of gratitude it brings. I am joining others as we together chase after these moments and hold them always in our hearts. Won’t you join us in counting them one by one? Just click the button below to find out more.
**Words below each photograph are provided by the amazing A.W. Tozer, in his book on the attributes of God called Knowlede of the Holy. I read the chapter on mercy last week and I was completely captivated by it. How precious of God to give me a visual image to go with them.
(#486-#490 mentioned as well above)
Lovely, beautiful, powerful–all at many levels!
Thanks Judy! He is an amazing photographer! I knew when he showed me the prints, Tozer’s words would match perfectly!
Wow! Great pictures! 🙂 Great things to be thankful for incorporating with the pics, too!
I love that through ALL the photos, Abby did not lose her smile–or the knowledge that a camera was present. A girl after Auntie Robin’s heart! Makes my day!
I am screaming LOOK OUT! how fun – so glad you enjoyed yourselves, it has been beautiful here!
The best part is that they positioned themselves there on purpose! Another great analogy with God’s mercy! And we did have the best day!
Awesome pictures. So full of life and surprise.
So glad I stopped! Just making my way through the many gifts this day! What a journey! 🙂
Love these pictures. Your husband captured a priceless moment.
Great photo sequence. Reminds me of when my family visited Thunder Hole at Acadia National Park in Maine. My husband shot a great sequence of my kids and I getting completely drenched. He could have warned us about the building wave, but instead…we made a great family memory! Thanks for stopping by my place. Always great to see you!
Now that is fun! I’ll bet he thoroughly enjoyed watching every moment!
I was thinking the other day about the moment of my girls at 11, 7, 4, and almost 1 and how it will never be repeated! So glad God gave us this memory to cherish!
The photos are beautiful! And the fact that they stood there without moving while they got soaked! I love the innocence and presence of the moment that was captured.
Thanks for the reminder of God’s mercy.
Blessings,
Janis
Thanks Janis! Just like children they ran to this particular spot and wanted to get soaked. Oh that we would feel the same way about His mercy!
What great pictures! And a beautiful message! Thank you, Stacey!
oh, yes. This is grace, in all of its soaking, pouring out, glory. So glad you linked!
