Dee Kasberger, is the artist and designer of Red Letter Words. She is a wife, a mom of four, an artist, and somebody who believes in truth and beauty. Her passion is that her art connects people to the unchanging truth of God’s word and reminds them just how much God loves them. Red Letter Words takes its name from the words spoken by Jesus in the New Testament, which appear printed in red in some editions.
So for a few weeks now I have been praying about what story to tell about Grace. So many times I have been shown grace and felt grace and known that the only reason I am on this earth is because of His grace and I can’t think of a single specific thing to write about. So I have been asking God – What should I share? What experience do you want everyone to know about? And guess what? God’s been silent.
At one point last week I emailed Stacey in a bit of a panic, because I had started to fret about running out of time for the post and not having anything to share – I mean I haven’t even been able to write on the redletterwords blog (as evidenced by the date of my last post:) lol:)
My email to her went like something like this . . .
Dee: aaah!!! Stacey! I am running out of time for the grace post!!! I have the print all ready to go but I NEED SOME GRACE about the blog post!!! I am running out of time for it and don’t think that I will be able to guest post after all.
Stacey: noooo problem.
Her response was immediate and full of grace and in that instant I saw God at work through her. Showing me that He is waiting and longing to be gracious, that His Grace is sufficient and that His power is made perfect in my weakness, that Grace is His gift. Always freely given, and not deserved. And my heart was strengthened by Grace that day.
xoxo Dee

Don’t you love her heart? I first “met” Dee last year when I wrote this post on making Scripture Visible in Your Home. She read it, and offered to send me the print I mentioned for free! I met Dee in person at Relevant last year. I had the best conversation with her and her husband, and Michelle. I think we talked for over an hour! Recently, I contacted her and asked her what she had in her collection to inspire my Grace Notes Journey. Because she is amazing and talented, Dee offered to make a custom print.
How perfect is this?

You know, something huge I’ve been learning about grace lately is what was mentioned in this post.
I already knew (and fully loved) how undeserved grace is. Undeserved is part of its nature and definition. But the other truth I’m learning is that it is “freely given.” Wow. Freely given by God. To me. To you. To all of us. But, that also means that I am to freely give it to others. Double wow.
Dee, your work is powerful. Thank you for offering it.
Stacey, your words and gracious, constant welcome are also powerful. Thank you, as well. (And, Happy Birthday!)

Thanks again for this kind offer!
Definitely needing some grace these past few days. I just haven’t been patient with my kids (or my husband)…cranky.
Love the print, and love the story! Sometimes we find grace in small unexpected ways! Thanks for sharing!
Ooooh…. I would LOVE to have that print!!! Talking with you, Dee and Tim was one of my FAVORITE parts of Relevant!!! I’ll go spread the word (even if it waters down my chance to win) because I love you guys that much!! 😉
Btw, that was a GREAT post on Grace, Dee! 🙂
Me, too Michelle! It was a God ordained moment I believe!!
Just tweeted! And just remembered…. It’s your BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Hope it’s full of love, joy, peace and grace!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!
Love the simplicity of this grace note. Thank you. With Joy, Carey
What a beautiful reminder that God’s grace is sufficient for every moment. This is just what I needed to read this morning as I’m a bit frazzled thinking about the busyness of the day…work to finish up, kids up early (talking non-stop), birthday sleepover tonight for my son and four of his friends, and getting ready to head out of town tomorrow right after all the kiddos leave. Oh, and laundry, laundry, laundry!! 🙂 So very thankful for God’s sweet grace. (I think I need to go pass some of that grace along to my kids now.)
Thank you, Dee, for your encouraging words and for using your gifts in such a God-honoring way.
And thank you, Stacey, for continuing to remind us of God’s unending and all-sufficient grace. Happy Birthday!
Just tweeted!
I LOVE this! I love the fact that when we give grace, we must first be able to receive it! See you Sunday! And…happy birthday! 🙂

I love how grace was given to Dee … simply, completely and quickly by Stacey. That’s how God gives us grace, too. Don’t ya think? We just need to ask and even sometimes not…. He is such a grace giver.

Beautiful print – what a timely reminder!
This is so amazingly appropriate for the grace journey! I have had a delightful time also browsing her other work. Such beautiful talent!
This print is perfect! One of my “life verses”, I guess you could call it, is Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God”
That’s why my Twitter handle is @michellebygrace!
Thanks for the chance to win, Stacey & Dee!
