I have been on a journey of faith my whole life. I can look back now and see how, at each turn of my life, God prepared me for my future. Every situation and circumstance I’ve walked through, sorrow as well as joy, brought me to where I stand in my faith today.
Tracie Stier-Johnson, author, blogger
I’m not asking you to read this because Tracie is my friend or because it is honest and real and good. Though all of those things are true. I’m asking you to read it because I believe that God will use it to strengthen your faith. Period. Who doesn’t need a stronger faith?
{I love her bio}
Tracie is a child of God and the mama to four vivacious daughters. She loves photography, travel, chap stick, guacamole, sunshine, crafts, pretty paper, slippers and a warm fire. She’s living with multiple sclerosis. She has her pilot’s license, is a licensed barber, and owned Broadway Paper for 8.5 years. She has six dogs {but wouldn’t consider herself a dog person}, four guinea pigs, two cats, one hedgehog, a water dragon and whatever creature du jour her girls bring home. She also has a slight phobia of escalators.
Tracie believes the Lord is writing a story within her. He’s allowed her challenges and difficulties. But He’s also equipped her with His love and grace. She trusts in Him. She rests in Him. She believes Him.
{How I know her}
I first ‘bumped’ into Tracie over at Emily’s place and started following her on Twitter and reading her blog. I knew we would be friends when I learned she was mama of 4 girls, too. God must have known we needed each other! What happened after that is kinda of a blur but somehow we started a blog together called MODsquad for Mothers of Daughters. Yes, I have met her in real life. She even flew to town to watch my Christmas program this past December. I love hanging out with her every morning for Good Morning Girls. This girl of faith, blesses my life tremendously.

I would love to win a copy. When I think of the word “faith”, I think of taking the hand of God and trusting Him to lead me where I cannot see. It’s taking a risk and knowing that it will all be okay.
Faith is truly trusting that He is in control, no matter what. It’s surrendering and saying yes continuously, and giving up our desire to constantly try to figure it out on our own. Looks like a great book.
I would LOVE to win a copy!
When I think of faith, I think of believing that God is sovereign AND in control, even when my circumstances and life seem out of control. It’s surrendering my will and my way to the One who is always good and who’s ways are better than mine.
Hi Stacey- When I think of “faith” I always think about that passage in Hebrews…have hope and in belief in things unseen…that is SO hard for me sometimes! I want to see progress in my life, I want to see that things are going to work about…but instead we live by faith that God has it all under control.
Looks like a great e-book!
Stopped by this morning because I saw you are going to allume/relevant– bought a ticket too! though with anxiety and trepidation for whatever reason….I met you there briefly last year, and I wasn’t sure I was going to return…the whole blogging world is a bit overwhelming to me sometimes…though my passion is to continue writing and reaching women…I just read your post from a year ago “So I bought a ticket”…made me feel a little better!!
Having “Faith” that God has my writing desires/hopes all under control may just be one of the hardest things for me!
I actually wrote a piece about my “fears” for FullFill’s blog a few weeks ago…given your post last year, maybe you can relate!

By the way…I’ll be looking for a roomate if you know of anyone who needs one!
Of course I remember chatting with you! So glad you are returning to Allume! It is the best thing I have done for my writing/blogging life. Love that community of girls!
This looks amazing! When I think of Faith, I think of trusting God to lead you even when you can’t see where the path is going, and despite the obstacles that we see ahead of us. It’s knowing that His plan is far greater than any that we could come up with or try to force on our own.
Thanks Stacey!
Yes, please!
I think of trust, surrendering my self sufficiency moment by moment at the foot of.the cross.
I would love to read this beautiful book each day this month. And next month. And next! So enjoy the encouragement I get from your blog and the community of women you keep introducing me to. Thank you!
Awww. How fun! I can try it on my Nook 🙂
