I have my days when all I want to do is pick up an InStyle magazine and read about nothingness. Today feels like one of those days. So, in effort to keep it light today, I’m starting with really important news:
I bought a skirt! I’m wearing it today….and was spotted in it several times last week. I don’t even know myself anymore!
Left: Red top I’m not loving in this photo (Ann Taylor Loft), Tan Pants (Ann Taylor Loft)
Center: White t-shirt (Kohls), Black roll top skirt (Old Navy)
Right: Striped cardigan (Ann Taylor Loft), White v-neck t-shirt (Target), Wide Belt & Jeans (American Eagle)
When you have all girls, you can take cute pictures of their colored flip flops. Don’t be alarmed, the baby has 2 feet she just was being, well 2 years old at the time. To prove that I did wear the skirt and she has 2 feet, see picture at right. Also, the flip flops were a steal at Old Navy. We outfitted the entire girl crew for about $15. Gotta love spring!
What are you wearing today?
Have you bought your flip flops yet?
I need a great color for my toes, any suggestions?
I hope you have a great day. Really I do!
{linking up here today, of course!}
Ok Don’t take this comment in a wrong way (I do not think you look old at all) but in the middle picture, with the white and black outfit… you look so young!!!!! Like you could be in high school young 🙂
Oh Renee, you just made my day! The other night while putting my oldest to bed, she said, “Mom, your grey hairs are out and there are a lot of them!” Keeping me humble!
But thank you so much! Walking on air today!
I agree with the previous comment..must be the ponytail..which I really like on you. And I actually really like that red shirt on you!! Isn’t it funny how we can see things so differently? And i totally get the just doing nothing but reading instyle somedays lol.
Skirt and flip flops…oh summer come my way! I’ll try not to be jealous *grin*!
For starters…I agree with the others about the ponytail – too cute!
Question – when you do these posts, are you taking pictures of what you wear all week then post them on Wednesday? Just curious. But I love these posts – they are some of my favorites.
My favorite spring nail color: ZOYA brand and the color is Fergie LOVE IT!

Yes Mary that is pretty much it. I also link up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy. She started the whole thing. It is one way to stay accountable to wearing clothes beyond mommy loungewear. It helps me have some direction and fun with what I’m wearing. I also do a collage through picnik photo editing (they are closing in April and I’ll be looking for another site) sniff, sniff. But it really is easy and fun!
And Fergie looks awesome! Must try it. My girls will “borrow” it though! Have a super day!
Go for a trend color on the toesies like a blue, green or purple in a pastel. There are some great new colors. Go wild!
Hey Stacey!
I’m wearing a skirt as well…but the different thing is I’m wearing a top I NEVER wear. In fact, it has been unworn in my closet for well over a year. I put a sweater over it (my Linus moment), but I’m feeling I may rock this without it this afternoon! Thanks for sharing your wardrobe pick! <3
I can’t wait to see you tonight at choir! Maybe, I’ll wear my skirt! 🙂
toe color: sally hansen salon gray by gray. it’s actually more blue than gray. bright enough to be fun and funky, light enough that it doesn’t scream at you. my new favorite color!
I love gray! I’m going to look for it this weekend! Thanks!
No flip flops yet… still in my boots!! I have wanted one of those Old Navy skirts! THey look so comfy! And you look very cute. 🙂
It is so very comfortable. I can’t wait to wear it with layered tank tops and be super casual this summer! And it was under $15! Score!
Love the skirt!! and you can never go wrong with flip flops! 🙂
I’m heading your way again this week but just to Destin, Florida. I’ll definitely be bringing my flip flops.
Have a great rest of the week!
Cyndi
You need to just move down here Cyndi! I think you are a Florida girl at heart!
Have a great trip!
