Last week was crazy. I’m pretty sure I met myself coming and going several times. It all started with Brooke coming into town to work on a few projects for “Hope for the Weary Mom”. One thing we did was shoot a video with my friend Erin. I can’t wait to show it to you. She is editing it right now and trying to make me look 10 years younger and 10lbs lighter. Not really, but that would be awesome, right?

We also worked on a top secret I can’t tell you right now plan for the next few months. I can say, God is not finished with this message and we are excited to walk with Him on the journey. He loves moms, you know. We do, too. If I talk too much about it I get all weepy, so I’m going to stop right now.

We might also have eaten our favorite Starbucks Ice Cream and chased that with 10 Blow Pop Suckers. I’m not saying we did, but it is a strong possibility.

Our friend Jeff asked this question on Twitter:

Isn’t that a sweet Tweet? I don’t think any one calls us “Weary Moms” except us. We have always used #wearymoms for our #hashtag on Twitter, because we felt like moms who saw it would get it. Maybe we should add #hopemoms to it. What do you think?

Only two more things, I promise! The first is we are speaking at a new conference March 2014 called Raising Generations. It is going to be awesome.  If you live in New York area or you want hop on a plane, train, or get in your car and drive there, you can find all about it here. I love that two of the women in charge of it happen to be writers for MODsquad. I’m also excited about two Lisa’s who will be speaking there: Baker and Leonard.

Finally, today I am over at the Hope for the New Year Book Club talking about my favorite chapter called “When You Come to the End of Yourself”. I love what God wrote in this chapter.  I say that because even though I may have put the words on the page, He wrote them on my heart first. He has encouraged me with them. He has grown me through them. I am overwhelmed by His grace. The chapter focus on two things you can do today to move from weary to hope. It works for weary moms, weary women, weary wives, and just about everybody. I’d love for you to stop by and watch the video. I may even sing on at the end.

xo,

Stacey
