Recently I read that my hometown was voted by a travel website as the Worst Dressed City in North America. The reasons they gave for this award were:
- the prevalence of soccer moms with bad haircuts, jean shorts and Gap T-shirts
- fathers with big bellies showing in overhanging shirts and wearing Teva sandals
- children in dirty clothes
Oh how I would like to defend my people, but I’m afraid that I can’t protest too much. GQ Magazine ranked us 26 out of 40 by saying,
It’s hard for a city to have a solid fashion identity when most of its population is just there for the weekend, living out of a suitcase in a discount resort hotel.
In my own world, I’m trying to bring up the style a little. Maybe I’ll start by giving the kids a quick bath! In the mean time, here is what I wore this past week…
Left (Date Night) :: White Shirt {Ann Taylor Loft}, Grey Tank {Loft}, Cropped Jeans {Eddie Bauer}, Belt – American Eagle.
Center (Blogger Meet Up) :: Blue Shirt {Loft}, Denim Shorts {Old Navy}.
Right (Singing at Church) :: Black Dress {BJ’s Wholesale Club}, Belt {Nordstroms}.

LOVE it! I love your WIWW posts! I especially love the black dress with brown belt! Awesome!
Thanks Joy! That is one of my favorites too! I had it on over my best pair of jeans which made it even cuter. You just can’t see that in the picture!
