Everything started here

I started writing on a blog called 29 Lincoln Avenue sixteen years ago. The name for my first blog came from the street address of the home I grew up in a small town in Southern Indiana. I loved the idea of inviting you into my “blog home” every week.

It was through learning to write and create content there  (and then here) that I discovered my love for words and my voice as a writer. When I started, Twitter and Facebook were the  rage and blogging found a unique place that would be writers (like me) were able to practice publishing more than a handful of words at at time.

Through blogging I started writing books. I am eternally grateful for that opportunity to put something more of my heart in the hands of those who are  bookish by nature.

But even with Instagram, youTube, and every other social media option out there—I still love to add a few words here.

And I suspect I always will.

Behind the Scenes: Let’s Talk About My New Bible Study

The Hardest Part of Writing

4 Books For Saturday

This weekend I'm going to spend every spare minute reading no less than 4 different books. Some of them are new, hot of the presses, not yet released beauties. Others have lived on my Kindle reader for weeks because I simply have not had the time to read. I need a...

What I Wore

I had a quick conversation with my friend Brianne Sunday about her super cute jeans. She told me she found this article on Pinterest and it changed her life. Well, maybe not her life but she did discover she was wearing the WRONG jeans. Apparently, lots of other...

"Hope Moms" or "Weary Moms" ?

Last week was crazy. I'm pretty sure I met myself coming and going several times. It all started with Brooke coming into town to work on a few projects for "Hope for the Weary Mom". One thing we did was shoot a video with my friend Erin. I can't wait to show it to...

I Love "What I Wore"

Thank you Lord for. . . boxed valentines, break and bake cookies, and $5 pizzas. Today would not have happened without one of these three things. In other news, there are no less than three full baskets of laundry in my room waiting to be folded. They have been there...
