Thank you for your sweet comments on last week’s post about me turning well, you know! I truly appreciate your encouragement. Every time I sit down to write a WIWW post I ask myself, “What in the world am I going to say? Does this really matter?” And then I think about how my dear friend Nichole said, “I love your WIWW posts. They are my favorite.” And I realize, that in these lighthearted posts, there is a whole lot of my heart, too. Just me, being me. And I have learned so much by taking pictures of myself. {My that sounds a bit narcissistic!} I’m sure, I would not have learned these lessons any other way. {More on this later!}
So, here are two my faves from this past week!
Left :: White tunic style top {Ann Taylor Loft}, Capri Jeans {Eddie Bauer}, Big Fat Belt {Nordstroms}.
Right :: Stripey top {Cabi}, Bermuda Shorts {Old Navy}

Here is something I discovered on my girls weekend a few weeks ago: the Nordstrom’s Junior’s department has great accessories and even some clothes women older than 21 can wear! And – the price is not what you would expect from a high end department store. They are very reasonable! See….
{The belt was only $14.99 and that was cheaper than one I saw at Target!}
{The camera shot is for my friend Angie who said these posts look like I’m doing a camera commercial for Nikon.We were college roommates and if I was writing this 17 years ago, I’d be wearing all her clothes. True story.}

P.S. I’m watching Oprah’s spectacular while writing this post. I was 15 when her show started. My favorite Oprah shows were always the makeovers. Go figure!
Check out the other WIWW girls with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy:
Cute outfits! I love the striped top and all the Cabi things I’ve tried on have been soooo soft.
That is the truth! Cabi clothes feel great!
I love the big belt and white shirt, such a classic look!
I also love anything nautical and of course stripes!
LOVE the belt! Are you sure we shouldn’t somehow stop by the Florida mall on the way to Gaylord?
Super tempting! Looking forward to the conference!
Love the outfits. Funny to think we were all in our teens when Oprah started and here we are now in our late 30s and early 40s. How much we’ve changed and grown over the years? I wish I’d started my blog back then. LOL
We’d have been blogging about “how big is your hair” ! 🙂
i used to order cabi before i started spending all my money on my little ones. a friend of mine is a rep. and, your blog is so clean and pretty. 🙂 ~d.
Oh thank you for that sweet compliment! And yes, Cabi is an investment…I have to save up for! So nice to have you drop in today!
I totally head into the junior department! The accessories there are really cute, and always priced well. Very cute belt!
OK, so deeper clothes question…what have you learned by taking pictures of yourself? I think I know…I’m guessing about it, but I want to hear you say it! And you should have posted it, too 🙂 since you are so vulnerable…seriously. I think we all could relate and need to hear it! 🙂
I love you, and you look great! Cannot wait to see you again someday! I’m reading a book that’s kicking butt right now and is right up my ally in what I needed to read regarding my pride/performing, etc. It’s called HUMILITY, THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS (Think Oswald Chambers deep but SO profound). All of us in the arts need to read it…ouch!
That sounds like a painful book…but oh so needed!
I will post about what I’ve learned, promise! Soon!
Big hug to you my friend!!
Love you…sounds great! I hate taking pics of myself because I’m too critical/perfectionistic. Learning to love myself they way I am, thighs and love handles and all! LOL!! 🙂
Im a first time visitor here at your blog.. I was browsing through pleated poppy (WIWW) and saw your cute outfit! I love the belt and you cant beat the price.. I find nice ones at Marshalls or TJ Maxx as well 🙂
Im a mom of 3 kids and its so easy to become so very comfortable in our sweats/yoga pants and t-shirts. Life just gets really busy and we want to be comfortable… too comfortable sometimes! 🙂
Love your blog layout 🙂
