“Mommy, am I beautiful?”
She is at that age where she asks me this question almost daily.
I bought her a necklace to remind her: Yes, you are. Beautiful.
It is easy for me to see of course, I am her mama. She is part him, part me, and stunningly beautiful. How could she not see, it?
The truth is, she gets it from me. I ask daily, too. He knew of course, that I would say it, “Am I beautiful?” And because He knows the words even before I speak them He put it here for all to read:
The princess is very beautiful.
Her gown is woven with gold.Psalm 45:13, NCV
Beautiful…some versions even say Glorious (stately).
And her beauty, it comes from within and shines through her to the world as gold.
So, I’m wondering…do you ask, too?
Does anyone in your life answer back, “Yes! You are! In fact, you are glorious.”
He does, and wants to write beautiful on your heart today.
Not only beautiful. Very beautiful. Glorious. Stately.
Yes. You. Are. Beautiful, girl.

I’ve been spending time catching up on blogs tonight. God is deeply touching me through post after post. Thank you for this reminder that I am beautiful to Him.
Love the richness and variety of all the 31 day writers! My heart is full! Thanks for including 29lincolnavenue in your reading Barbie!
I could talk for hours about this subject of beauty. As a mater of fact, I’ll be writing on it in the next week to prepare to teach about it with teenage girls at the end of the month. It is such a tough subject to touch, because the emotions run so deep. Until the Lord presses the truth right down to the center of our being, we simply can see what He see. I love what you ‘re doing with your daughter. It inspire me to do it with mine.
It is the cry of every girl’s heart, and even their mama’s! Since I have 4 girls, I am constantly being reminded of it. Each one asks in her own way every day. I am praying for you right now as you prepare to teach these girls, and that their hearts will be open to the message, “You are beautiful.”
Love this, Stacy! I always find myself asking that same question… yet how sad is that, because I know I am beautiful in GOD’S SIGHT! This was a beautiful reminder.
Love this! Dont have any girls but what a great message for a weary pregnant mom of three young boys. Thanks Stacey!
Bless your heart! This is for you today!!! So glad you stopped by.
I am looking forward to hearing more of what God wants me to know! Thank you so much for the reminder that I am a princess (His princess) and that He thinks I am beautiful. It’s hard to remember as I gaze into the mirror and start to find gray hairs and wrinkles.
I’d be honored if you stopped by and linked up today and each friday in October! I’m looking forward to all the wonderful posts from 31 days.
Blessings.
We all need the reminder Dana! Thank you for the invitation!
