It really is about realizing that looking perfect everyday isn’t the aim.” Looking good and put together, feeling proud and confident–now that is what it’s about.” You don’t have to spend a fortune; you don’t have to spend an eternity.” You just need to let go of a few preconceived ideas that you’ve probably carried with you without even knowing it. — Hayley Morgan, The Tiny Twig
This is the Ebook I wish I had written. Instead, it is written by the adorable Hayley, The Tiny Twig, who also wrote the 31 Day Series I wanted to write by the same name. You see, in my dreams I am a fashion blogger. But this is really not about me, it is about Hayley and her super awesome Ebook called The No Brainer Wardrobe.
“You see, clothes are just made to cover your body and keep you warm. The plus side is that clothes can also be beautiful, an expression of ourselves, and a way to play up our best features. But, clothes don’t have power over you. You have power over them.” — page 9
In this Ebook Hayley tells you how to:
- Master your closet
- Discern your style
- Build a wardrobe you will love with Essentials, Additions, and Finishers
- Shop on a budget (even Thrift Stores)
- And more.
I like that Hayley also includes tips for maternity, business wear and plus sized women. But my favorite section is called “How to Discern Your Body Type”. This information is invaluable and I think the key to looking your best as a woman of any size or shape. The best part? I now know my style icons are Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, & Maria Menounos because they are triangle shaped, just like me!
The No Brainer Wardrobe can be yours for $7.99 by going here. It would be fabulous to keep on your smart phone as a shopping guide, In the long run, this Ebook will help save you money by keeping you from buying clothes you don’t need or really love.
Because Hayley is awesome, she is making it possible for one follower of 29lincolnavenue to win a copy of her new Ebook. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what item in your wardrobe is your go to item? You can also share this post on your Facebook page or Tweet about the giveaway. *For the purpose of review, Haley provided me with a copy of The No Brainer Wardrobe. Opinions are all mine.
Hayley has a house full of boys. It’s probably due to that fact that she feels strongly that she must maintain a look that is feminine and cute. However, equally important, her routine must be simple and accommodating to her life as a mom of three little men.
Because of her desires and her constraints, she has developed a way of living that maximizes her time and energy for passion and ruthlessly eliminates unwanted fuss.
Follow along and engage at Tiny Twig Goes Out on a Limb, her blog which inspires women to create lives with more passion and less fuss. You can also catch her daily tweets, about creativity, life management, motherhood, and faith at@thetinytwig.
this looks like a fabulous tool, I would love to give this to my daughter
Wow, I love this. Thanks for sharing
My ‘go-to’ item is a cardigan. They warm me up when I’m chilly, they can be belted & adorable, they can go over a t shirt & be casual. Oh, how I love my cardigans. 🙂
I want this!! My go-tos are cardigans in fun colors that can make any outfit a little more special. My favorite at the moment is a great mustard color.
I love how Haley turned her practical series into a go-to book. I’d love to get my hands on it.
My go-to item as of late? A super comfy, yet incredible elegant black v-neck sweater from Old Navy. I love how I feel in it and my husband loves the neck access {grin} in the unexpected back v, too.
Blessings,
Lisa
My go to item for winter would have to be my grey sweater. I can dress it up with black pants, skit with tall boots, or down with jeans and tennis shoes!
I hate to admit it, but this fall/winter jeggings are my go-to item in my closet. I cannot find jeans to fit, but the jeggings fit me great. Pull on some boots and a sweater and I’m good to go!
My go to piece of clothing is a sweatshirt. I know I know, but they are so comfy and where I live in Canada they are necessary.
Thanks for sharing this. It looks like something I could really use! Going to check it out right now:) -Audry Cece (new (in)courage member)
My go-to item is my favorite pair of dark wash jeans (from H&M). More than one girlfriend of mine has commented that they give the effect of my legs going for miles – A nice thing for a five foot five gal like me. 🙂
There is just something about a good pair of jeans that gives you the confidence to pull off any shirt to go along with it!
I’d love to know what style icon I should be aiming for too! 🙂
Wow! This looks like an awesome book. I could sure use help in this area. My go to item….probably jeans or a favorite tshirt. Thanks for the giveaway.
The E-book sounds great! I am a “sweater girl”! I love my hip-length gray one from Forever xx1 that is like an open cardigan that flows…it can top jeans or a dress with leggings. I’m probably the oldest customer at their store, but love their sweater prices:)
The go-to item in my wardrobe is, sadly, an old blue hoody that has long since “worn out” its welcome. I’m a mom of two and, even though I work full time, I wear this “lovey” far too often in and out of the house. I would love to know how to dress myself better, even when I’m just hangin’ at home with my kidlets.
Black sweater, no doubt about it!
2nd go-to item in my closet: plain blue, summer-weight cardigan. It’s relatively new to me, but I find myself grabbing it when I need to “dress up”.
3rd go-to item in my closet: I wish there were a third, because then I’d have a little variety. 😉 I guess I could say my jeans (any of them).
My go-to item is one pair of jeans that always seem to fit comfortably… and then I can put whatever I want with it. The only trouble is that if I have to dress up a little more, things get complicated!
Cute tank tops , sweater cardigans, and my sparkle shoes 🙂
I depend upon a pair of well-fitting jeans. Without that, I’m kinda lost. I wear a lot of turtle-necks this time of year too. I would love to have the time to put together a more lovely wardrobe for myself. 🙂
I shared this link on Facebook. 🙂

My go to item is my tissue thin, black and grey cashmere scarf. Found it cheap at Saks outlet. So warm and not bulky!
I love a lot of color but my ‘go to’ item is a plain back sweater.
My go to item is a very chic sleeveless black top with a ruffled plunging collar line. Very versatile, you can wear it with or without a jacket and it looks fabulous. From CAbi.
No Brainer — totally sounds like that is written for me. My teenage girls dress me!!! no joke. Thanks friend.
Looks like a great book! I tend to always pick out a long sleeve plain top and add a sweater. My wardrobe could really use some help.
oh, i could use this… my go-to piece of clothing is a good hoodie, to cover up the fact that I don’t know how to shop for clothes! LOL
Blue jeans! No doubt about it. I wear them almost every day in the wintertime. One reason I love them so: you can wear a pair several times without having to wash them. Anything that reduces the amount of laundry I have to do is a winner, in my opinion.
I’ve recently sort of re-discovered fashion. I’ve always liked to dress nicely, but for some reason I had started dressing a little too “old.” (I mean, I’m almost 50, but I’m not old yet!!) I’ve decided to nix that and am now enjoying some fun things like boots. (Okay, so my boots are made by Aerosoles–high fashion ones hurt my feet. Maybe I am old!)
This looks like a great ebook. Thanks for the chance to win!
What a great giveaway! My go-to item in my wardrobe is definitely my knee high black boots. I’m not really all that stylish, but these always make me feel a little more put together.
Sounds like a great book! Right now my go to item is a oatmeal colored sweater. I throw it on over everything!
Oh I cant wait to read this!! I would love to win it! My “go to item” is my favorite pair of gap jeans and my comfy lightweight zipup black hoodie. As a sahm I like to be comfy but also layer with the hoodie so I have flexibility for when Im hot and cold!
So fun! I have this brown sweater that is my go to when I need something to make me feel 5lbs smaller, comforted on hard days, when I want simple but can’t seem to pull off a finished look, when I am happy, sad, celebrating, anxious, confident. Oh, how I pray it doesn’t wear out anytime soon!
Jeans and long sleeve tshirt.
