It seems like ages since we talked about good old “What I Wore Wednesday” around here. If you are new(ish) to my blog you may not know that once upon a blog time I started posting about What I Wore every Wednesday. (I didn’t come up with this idea. It was Lindsey.) I have always loved those types of posts and I thought it would be a fun way to connect with other women about the stuff we ALWAYS talk about when we grab coffee or bump into each other at church. I learned a few things over the years. Here are a few more:

  1. Pay attention: For a long time I simply would grab something to wear. After taking pictures for years I actually pay attention to what I’m “grabbing” from my closet every day—not just on date nights or when I go to church. Every day clothes matter too.
  2. You don’t have to spend a ton of money: Most of my clothes are what I call “Loft-Target Chic” which means so much of what you see on here didn’t cost a fortune. I even have a survival kit of sorts (I posted about this in 2014 and not much has changed).
  3. Invest in a few things (even style help): I don’t mind paying a bit more for some items (boots, jackets, a great t-shirt I will wear out). I even think allowing someone else to dress you is a good idea from time to time. I have shopped with Stitch Fix several times and had great success. I don’t do it all the time, but it is fun when I do!
  4. Be inspired but you do you: I love following fashion bloggers (like Cyndi) and friends who I feel dress super cute. But at the end of the day, I need to do what works for me. I think I’m finally in a place where I know what I like, and I’m OK with that.

Have a great Wednesday!
