Deuteronomy 32:10 ” He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.”

LORD,

This certainly feels like a howling waste of the wilderness.  It feels like I’m drowning on dry land.  But you are not unfamiliar with finding your children in difficult places. This is where you found Jacob. It is where you found Hagar. And is is where you find me, too. You show up in unexpected places.

I am:

Seen.

Not alone.

Cared for deeply and personally.

You:

Know where I am. Always.

Wrap me up in all that you are.

Protect and care for me.

What you have done for any of your children, at any time, you are able to do for me.  Because YOU never change. You are the same ONE who encircles me.

Threadbare Prayer: Lord, encircle me.

Amen.
