I’ve recently started using Delicious to bookmark my blog reading. So what is it?
(from the Delicious People)
Delicious is a social bookmarking service that allows you to tag, save, manage and share Web pages all in one place. With emphasis on the power of the community, Delicious greatly improves how people discover, remember and share on the Internet.
Here are a couple of things I bookmarked about the idea of community (one is related to blogging and the other to the church):
Oh Amanda Gives : Mercy House, MODsquad and the Blogging Community at Large
Laura Parker Life Overseas : Community, Church, and Power Lines

“Then I suddenly remembered another blog, The MOD Squad. This is a beautiful blog for Mothers Of Daughters. Their purpose is to help mothers raise daughters with purity, character and a heart for God. They recently designed a beautiful MODsquad journal to raise money for mattresses at the Mercy House. They are selling journals to raise money for the NINE mattresses the Mercy House needs! I don’t know why but this put tears in my eyes!
A group of women writing about raising their daughters for purity are raising money to help daughters in Kenya to raise their own daughters. It’s just too beautiful. A perfect God connection.”

“Community means calling her when she’s hiding and it means loving well– even when they get on your nerves.”
Both of these really got me thinking. So click over and read them. Let me know what you think! And speaking of community I loved meeting so many new people last week for the first Grace Story by Holley Gerth. She brought the sweetest friends with her! How much do we love her heart?
Tomorrow, I can’t wait to share another Grace Story with you. You, probably know her, and if you don’t, well you will love her immediately. And, I have her to thank for the whole Grace Notes idea. Hint? She has a book coming out this fall!!!
Thanks so much for linking to my post! The community of the blogosphere is just SUCH a God-thing. I love being a part!
Amanda I think you nailed the idea of how online community can be and is real community! Loved your post and your sweet words about MODsquad! Thanks for stopping by today!
Hey! Thanks for the link-love, friend! Happy to be a (small, itty-bitty) part of here!
Loved your perspective on community Laura! Praying God blesses you with a Christ community in Chang Mai!
