I’ve thought long and hard about when and how to tell you “What is next” and today I feel compelled just to say it so we all know. I need you to know because quite frankly I’m feeling the weight of it already. I need you to know where this whole thing is leading. But mostly, I need you to pray.

My next manuscript is written. As in, I turned in over a month ago. I am waiting for the next round of edits. And the real news it is not just one book.

What is next is a series of books based on books of the Bible. I started with my favorite book, because the Lord said to. “Is Jesus Worth It? Igniting Your Faith When You Feel Like Quitting” is based on the book of Hebrews. It is the first book in a series called “The Girlfriend’s Guide to the Bible.”

This book will release August 1, 2017 but we will start the conversation long before that. I thought about waiting until after Christmas and the Fresh Out of Amazing book club (January 2017), but the more I thought about it, today felt like the best day to make it official.

Is Jesus Worth It? has been my hardest book to write so far. Do you remember my Instagram posts from Panera this summer? I might have been quietly crying and eating massive chocolate chip cookies because God was doing a deep work in my heart. He still is.

What can you expect with this book? Well if you liked Fresh Out of Amazing, then this book is for you. It is NOT a commentary or a complete work on the book of Hebrews. It feels more like you and I meeting for coffee and dessert and us talking about the Word. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

OH, and do you want to see the first version of the pretty cover?

I just love it. I can’t wait for you to read it.

Friends. As I came to the end of the book, this was the prayer God wrote on my heart for you. Will you pray it for me as well?

“Now may the God of peace, who brought the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, back from the dead through the blood of the new everlasting covenant, perfect you in every good work as you work God’s will. May God do in you only those things that are pleasing in His sight through Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, to whom we give glory always and forever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21, The Voice). {emphasis mine}

May he do in us only those things that are pleasing in his sight through Jesus.

Amen.

Stacey

P.S. The book is being published by Harvest House Publishers. I feel truly blessed by our continued partnership!
