Weekends are made for cozy red blankets, sparkly Christmas trees lights left on all day, and kids begging to make cookies. I’m so grateful mercy comes in the morning. Aren’t you?

Since life was quiet around here this week, I wanted to share a few links for you to enjoy. I know your are busy, but grab a cup of coffee put some of this in it*, and take 5 minutes for yourself. Then get up and make the cookies.

1. The December Issue of Mothers of Daughters is gorgeous if I do say so myself. You don’t have to be a mother or a daughter to love the sweet words of these women either. Plus, you can download this for free:

2. If you are a boy mom give this Christmas gift to your boys. My dear friend Brooke will walk with you the whole way. FYI: I completed her challenge and I don’t even have boys. It is awesome.

3.  Christmas Home Tours. In particular, Emily’s:

I am loving the green. Which figures, because this year I focused on red. I’ll be showing mine on Monday and linking up with The Nester.

4.  I’m a Hoosier girl at heart. These trick shots by some super creative young Hoosiers will make you want to cheer. Take a minute and watch them bring it.

5. Last spring I publicly broke up with my skinny jeans. This week, I may or may not have ordered a new pair. I’m trying to decide if reuniting is bad or good. In my defense my husband said, “Yes!” and they were on sale, big time. Thoughts?

6. Christmas is always a good idea. Do you hear it whispering hope?

“The Light never comes how you expect it.

It come as the unlikely and unexpected—straight from Bethlehem

unlikely and the feed trough hopeless,

and Christmas whispers there is always hope.”

Ann Voskamp, The Greatest Gif*t, p. 139.
