Hello friends! August snuck up on me, did it for you too? I feel like once July is 3/4 finished, August launches itself out of the gate like a speeding bullet. I have been preparing for our school year (which starts today) and writing, writing, writing my new book (Fresh Out of Amazing). I have been taking pictures of my outfits for the most part. But, I just have not had to time to put together a What I Wore Post.
But today, I’m back with a Basic Black Edition of What I Wore. I have to be honest, I love wearing black. But, I live in Central Florida so it isn’t always the best choice. Today though, I had a ton of pictures featuring black.. I wore all of these to church recently. I sing with our choir and worship team, and sometimes they ask us to wear concert black when we sing. These are some of my faves!

This has become one of my favorite go to summer outfits. The shirt is fairly new and the skirt is from last summer. I’m making peace with the I’m not a short sleeve shirt or a sleeveless shirt thing going on. Love the fabric most of all!

I adore this dress. It has sentimental value but it also fits so well. I feel so much like a girl when I wear it.

The shoes. I mean really this is about the shoes. I wish they were at tad bit more comfortable, but I’m willing to suffer for fashion. Yes, I am.
