One of my favorite things to do is grab a cup of coffee with a friend.  If you throw in a bit of dessert as well, I think that is one of the best days ever. I wish I could do that with every single one of you. I’d love to know how you are doing, really, and we would probably talk about your cute jeans and where to get a pair of short boots because I am looking for a pair and I’m sure you already have them.

Wouldn’t that be all kinds of awesome?

The really important stuff would probably come up later in the conversation after we refilled our coffee cups. Going deeper usually doesn’t happen right away. We need to ease into it. Girls are like that.

A few weeks ago a friend sent me a message and she said something like this, “I read the first line of your book and burst into tears. Is that Ok?” I assured her I had more than a few messages like that and yes it was perfectly OK. This book is deeply personal. It seems to be hitting soul deep.

Which got me to thinking, I wish I could have that discussion with “all you all.” I have plans to do a book club just after the first of the year, but I was thinking that maybe it might be good to give you something now that would help you walk through the book and not feel quite so alone.

So, I came up with this:

If you sign up, you will receive a free reader’s guide for the book. You can walk through the book in 21 days, or take the time you need. Each email will have a few pages to read, a key Scripture from the reading, a quote, question to answer, and a Soul Note (image) to savor or share on social media.

It won’t be exactly like we are having coffee, but it might be the closest we can get for now. I just want you to know that I understand when you open your heart to God’s invitation that sometimes it gets messy. But, sometimes you need to be ok with that because what God is doing is getting to the things that matter most.

The reader’s guide is free. All you need is a book. This month Barnes and Noble is featuring it in their stores, so you could grab one there the next time you head to the grocery store. Fresh Out of Amazing is also available at most Christian bookstores and the usual online places where you might already have a cart half full.

Know that I’m praying for you.

xo,

Stacey
