Last night I found myself fearful and emotional. I came here, to this counting place and I remembered…
His gifts.
The overwhelming grace.
The simple ones.
God moments.
Each one – nearly 600 of them.
And I came face to face with the One who can do all things and is too wonderful for me to understand. He wrapped His arms around me, and the fear had no place to hide in His presence.
O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
Will you count 1,000 gifts and rejoice with me?
#572 Counting gifts up, and Advent days down.
#573 Children’s faces gathered round as candle light glows.
#574 As simple as ABC and a God answered prayer.
#575 Traditions our very own.
#576 Reading the Greatest Story with a little one squirming on my lap.
#577 Little hearts that know it so well, they scream out the answers.
#578 Gifts that remind them how very much they are loved.
#579 Family.
#580 Watching the stable scene come alive, one piece at at time.
prayers sent your way…and I love the pic of your girl standing strong for Jesus…priceless.
I was there a few nights ago… a thankful heart is a great way to allow God to help you through those moments!
Rejoicing with you in your multitude of blessings.
I love the sharing the Advent with my children . . . that is one of the most precious gifts of all, isn’t it?
I know fear and worry and coming apart at the seams, and it is ALWAYS His Word that calms and brings me peace — remembering the way He has acted in my life before is a powerful assurance of what He will do again. Blessings to you.
