“As I look at the calendar, I see days turning into months and flying by in years. We are bookended with ages of 14 and 4 and a couple in between. I know pretty soon, it will be 24 and 14. It all goes by so quickly.
This week we visited a make-up counter for the first time and I watched the same girl light up when meeting her favorite Disney Princess. Grown-up calls but childhood still pulls. We dance around both with as much grace as we can hold onto. This tug-of-war won’t last forever. I’m asking for a chance to breathe it all in, not missing a moment.”
